In Rapadalen, looking upsteam. The sandbanks of this part were very easy walking, but dissected by rivers that had to be waded. I missed my footing while jumping one and ended up chest deep.

After taking a speed boat down to Aktse - this is the local idea of a bracing shower. Aktse is a Sámi homestead from the late C19, and still has a cleared meadow in front of it - must have taken a lot of labour to establish.

I couldn't stay at Aktse as there was no ferry running on the following day (Monday) - so too the ferry over to the bothy at Laitaure. The cliff is Skierffe. The girl is one of a group of four I kept meeting.
